June 21, 2021 LABORATORIA Art & Science opens a new exhibition space in the West Wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery. We are not only becoming a resident of one of the leading Russian museums, but also change our virtual address.

Laboratoria.art is our new site, where you can find everything about technological art in Russia! Soon we will fill it up and transfer our full archive with photo and video materials, there will be interesting articles, upcoming events and info about science-art production.

You can already find there details about our new international project “May the Other Live in Me”, which will open the space on June 21.

The exhibition provides an opportunity to learn the new ways and forms of interaction with non-human agents: plants, animals, bacteria, artificial intelligence. Foreign and Russian artists in cooperation with scientists and engineers (11 projects in total) tried to recognize themselves as part of hybrid communities, communicate in a new way, overcome interspecific boundaries and think non-anthropocentrically.

See you at Laboratoria.art and at the New Tretyakov Gallery!

Starting from March 30, 2020 you can see the online exhibition We=Link: Ten Easy Pieces curated by ZHANG Ga and organized by Chronus Art Center (Shanghai) in partnership with Laboratoria Art&Science. You can see the exhibition via the link:

The exhibition features new commissions by the artists XU Wenkai (aka aaajiao), Tega Brain & Sam Lavigne, JODI, LI Weiyi, Slime Engine, YE Funa, Evan Roth, Helmut Smits, Yangachi and Raphaël Bastide. The show focuses on the COVID-19 outbreak, which is rapidly spreading around the world.  This special online project reflects on how the humankind reacts to the uncertainties that arise from the actual threats of the natural hazards and disasters and their social impact.
