04.06.2013 at LABORATORIA will run a meeting “Ice on Earth and in the Space”. A.F.Glazovskiy PhD, senior research fellow of Glaciology Department of The Institute of Geography RAS will meet artists and will tell about glaciers, their origins and future, about their influence on the environment, about appearing of icicles. Also they will discuss properties of ice – it’s color, sound, fragility, strength and many others. |

Last saturday 18.05.13 we had meeting "The benefits of Weeds". Artist Alexei Buldakov and Anastasia Potemkina prepare now their bio-art project in the yard of LABORATORIA for our July exhibition FRONTIER. They met Tatiana Fedorova, PhD professor of Biological Faculty of Moscow state University who told about different kinds of weeds, about their benefits and disadvantages and about details artists must know for using this plants in their artistic experience. They aren't going to get rid of weeds. The aim of their artwork is to cultivate and to explore them as subjective category and to overcome it's negative sense. |
